It’s been only five years since we founded Bright Star Charitable
Trust but we have come a long way in terms of learning and the trust
and engagement we have from the communities we work with. Back in
2014, when we first started the organization, all we had was a
vision and a purpose. But, over the years we have been associated
with like-minded people and organizations who have not only helped
us further our cause but, have helped create a better future for the
communities and most specifically, for the women we work with.
Started with the sole purpose of empowering disadvantaged women,
BSCT has gradually expanded its operations to include other members
of the society while keeping women empowerment at its core.
Today, we have our presence across Maharashtra through the 23 skill
development centres which we operate under the MSSDS programme.
Under this programme, we have unskilled more than 2000 women from
BPL families and indirectly increased the income level of more than
1000 families. Apart from this, we have made our presence felt in
the education sector as well. I am proud to share that due to the
on-going efforts of our volunteers under education initiatives, we
have helped more than __ students from the pre-primary and primary
level. These students now exude confidence and perform academically
better than their peers who get no extra inputs.
In an attempt to make life better for destitute elderly, we sponsor
medical relief for senior citizens in selected old age homes in
Mumbai.
While we are making headways in new directions with our initiatives,
we are always open to join hands with like-minded NGO partners, and
CSR initiatives to improve services to beneficiaries, and bring a
larger population under our ambit.
Working towards a brighter future,
